Dr. Rice received a B.S. in Psychology from Stanford University. He obtained an M.S. in Health Systems Management and an M.D. from Rush University. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Southern California and is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Rice is certified in Age Management Medicine and certified by the Academy for Preventive and Innovative Medicine in Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. He is certified in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and recognized as an IFM Certified Practitioner (IFMCP). He is specialty trained in Functional Medicine and Nutrition and is a recognized ADAPT-trained practitioner of functional medicine through the Kresser Institute.
